Brief Introduction
YEJ series three phase squirrel-cage induction motor, is a kind of motor that are totally enclosed, fan-cooled and with D.C. round brake. It possess the advantages of rapld braking, simple structure, strong reliability and full performance, further more, the brake is controlled by manual releasing. These motors are widely used on mechanical equipment and driving machines where rapid and accurate braking is demanded.
Principle and structure
The round brake of YEJ series motor is mounted on the non-shaft end cover. When the brake is switched on, the brake will start to work on the same time. Due to the absorbing effect of the electromagnet, the electromagnet absorbs the iron and press the spring, then the brake is divorced from the iron end shield, then the motor will start to run. When the power supply is turned off, the electromagnetic iron of the brake will lose the electromagnetic force, then the spring will push the connecting iron to press the brake tightly, due to the affect of the friction the motor will stop immediately. We could provide different size of brake accordingly to meet the demand for different size YEJ series motors.
The power source for the brake is supplied by the rectifier located in the terminal box. For 3kW and below, input 220V(A.C), output 99V(D.C), For 4kW and over, input 380V(A.C), output 170V(D.C).
